Geoffrey joined the Financial Services Industry in 1974 with Phoenix Assurance & was appointed an Executive Consultant for the merged Royal Sun Alliance group in 1989. He became the longest serving and highest producing consultant in the company . Geoffrey moved to the City as an IFA with the Regent Organization as Assistant Director, in 1999. In 2006 he then joined Helm Godfrey in London where he met Ed Fairey and left together with him when Fairey Associates was established in 2008. His specialist area of advice was predominantly in the life assurance, critical illness and income protection market.
Geoffrey has been a qualified and life member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) for 45 consecutive years. He received the 1st LIA Persistency Award at the Barbican Centre in 1984. In 1990 he was awarded the Viscount De L’Isle Trophy from Royal Sun Alliance in recognition of his long service to the company and dedication to his clients. Having studied French in Lausanne (Switzerland), Geoffrey returned to London to complete a M. Phil. in 1972 - at Birkbeck , University of London . Later in his career he obtained a BSc in Business Management and (in 1983) was further awarded a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Life Assurance from Pacific Western University - California. Geoffrey was a business adviser and mentor with the Prince’s Trust from 1996-2006. He is an active member of the Franco-British Soc., the Bow Group, Royal Overseas League & the Royal Society of Literature. He was a keen sportsman involved in cricket, football and athletics, and has been a long - standing member of the MCC , Middlesex and Surrey CCC. Geoffrey is still involved in political research and community affairs in the City of Westminster, as well as in the theatre. Running for Belgrave Harriers, he competed in 5 national championship marathons (for England Athletics) in London. In 1992 he finished 59th in 2:22:57. |
