Dr Geoffrey H Buchler
Geoffrey joined the Financial Services Industry in 1974 with Phoenix Assurance. In 1989 he was appointed an Executive Consultant for the merged Royal Sun Alliance group and was the longest serving and highest producing consultant in the company until he became an IFA in the City with Regent as an Assistant Director in 1999. In 2006 Geoffrey then joined Helm Godfrey in London where he met Ed Fairey and moved with him when Fairey Associates was set up in 2008.
Geoffrey has qualified for the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) for 33 consecutive years. He received the 1st LIA Persistency Award at the Barbican Centre in 1984 In 1990 he received the De L’Isle Trophy from Royal Sun Alliance in recognition of his dedication and commitment to his clients and the company. Apart from a BSc in Business Management, in 1983 Geoffrey was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Life Assurance from Pacific Western University (USA).
He has also been adviser to the Prince’s Trust from 1996-2006. He is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. Geoffrey is still involved in political research and community affairs in the City of Westminster, as well as the theatre. He was a keen sportsman involved in cricket, football and athletics. Running for Belgrave Harriers, he competed in 5 national championship marathons (for England Athletics) in London. In 1992 he finished 59th in 2:22:57.
