How Long in the Industry Over 20 years What does she like to do in her spare time? Outside of work, together with her daughter Danielle, she competes in show jumping at local shows in Norfolk and Suffolk. As well as horses she has a string of other animals including dogs, cats, chickens and fish and lives in a very remote area on the Norfolk/Suffolk border. |
Michaela has been a Financial Adviser for over 20 years, starting her career back in the 1990s with Pearl Assurance when agents used to call house to house collecting premiums. Those days now long gone, she worked for four years for two high street banks, and although this gave her more experience, she missed building up the long term customer relations, as in reality the banks were just after business. She then spent eight years as an Independent Financial Adviser with an insurance company that specialised in financial advise to the clergy and the church, before joining Fairey Associates.
She sees her job as helping people achieve their goals and being protected should the worst happen to them. In her own words, "she would feel as if she had not done her job properly should someone be in financial difficulty due to a bereavement, ill health or the like".
